In February 2018, Showtime Events Centre will evolve from event space, to a multi-site caterer, specialising in Business Events and Boutique weddings, rebranding as Showtime Event Group.
Since Showtime Event Centre was opened in South Wharf 7 years ago, the business has grown to add, Cargo Hall (also a function space in South Wharf) which opened in 2014, and then the development of South Wharf Events, which was created as a catering brand to facilitate large events (1,500+) across the South Wharf promenade.
Showtime Event Group was appointed by the National Trust Australia (Victoria) as Exclusive caterer to the Old Melbourne Gaol, Former City Watch house and Old Magistrates Court, commencing operations in February.
With the vision to become a major player in the event catering landscape over the coming years, Showtime Events Group are aligning with several unique spaces in and around Melbourne, including art galleries, distilleries, and yacht clubs, to build a portfolio of venues to cater within.
As one of only 5 strategic partners of the Melbourne Convention Bureau, SEG is heavily invested in the Business Events market and the development of our incentive based events. SEG is carefully curating an extensive selection of unique offers to present to international markets, that take sensory dining, and a truly Melbourne experience, to a new level.
SEG has aligned very closely with South Wharf Restaurants, a collection of 6 restaurants in South Wharf that include; Bangpop, Akachochin, Plus 5, Common Man, Meat Market and Bohemian, with the premise to be able to cater an event for any size group from 5 to 5,000+.
Showtime Event Group (SEG) will be launching over AIME (Australian Incentives and Meetings Exhibition), held annually in Melbourne at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The launch will include a stand at the exhibition over two days (February 18th and 19th 2018), a launch event at the Old Melbourne Gaol for the exhibits 200+ Hosted Buyers and Media, and a key client and local media and industry event held in South Wharf.
A coordinated online, print and social media campaign with several industry publications will be supporting the launch over February and early March.
In 2019, Showtime Event Group will undergo renovations to Showtime Event Centre, turning the space from one room, to a three level venue with the capacity for 1,200 people.
The show goes on.
