As we start to change the way we meet, Showtime Event Group is making it easier to ‘stay connected’. Let us spice up your zoom work meeting or your next online drinks with family and friends, with one of our many ‘Cook with Us’ options.
We are now running these work shops every Friday for smaller groups of 6 or more, or if you have a larger group, we can facilitate an online ‘Cook with Us’ at anytime through out the week. Our dedicated event producers will work with you to curate your event and any additional activity and entertainment.
Cook with Us - $29 per person
LAMB KOFTA (45 minutes) Learn to balance the unique flavours of the Middle East – a great beginners class and perfect for a team lunch. Make the perfect lamb kofta, supplied with tabbouleh, yoghurt sauce, and house made flat bread.
CREPES (45 minutes) Pick up some new pan skills as you make both a sweet and savoury batter. Vegetable crêpes, mornay Sauce, or flaming crêpes suzette with caramalized oranges
HAND ROLLED PASTA (1 hour) You’ll never buy a packet of pasta again, once you see how easy it is to roll your own. While the past rests, we’ll teach you top tips to make an authentic Italian sauce. The kit includes all the ingredients to hand roll your own tagliatelle, and your choice of either a Napoli or Zucchini Garlic sauce. Guests can provide their own rolling pins, or include a pasta maker for an additional $40pp as the perfect keepsake.
HOME THROWN PIZZA (1 hour) Messy, interactive and suitable for all ages. The kit includes all ingredients for pizza dough, a premade ball of dough to bake during the class and a selection of toppings. Include a pizza tray for an additional $10pp.

ITALIAN RISOTTO (1 hour) Never been able to get it quite right? Cook along with our chefs to create the perfectly balanced base, learning about Italian flavours and ingredients, and key knife skills. From here, build with wild mushrooms and roasted broccoli rabe.
PAELLA (1 hour) Quick and tasty, for groups of all skills just looking to get together and connect online. Build and balance the perfect chorizo and mussel paella (vegetarian option available) and bring together a simple fresh Spanish house salad. Add a mini paella pan for an additional $15pp
HAND ROLLED GNOCCHI (1 Hour) A new technique for many of us – handmade silky smooth gnocchi at home. Chef will discuss Italian techniques as we finish the dish with a Marinara sauce and Trocolore Salad. Includes recipe cards for 3 different ways to dress your gnocchi.
DUMPLING WORKSHOP (1 Hour) Great for team building, with each participant sharing their creations through Zoom. Prepare your choice of meat or vegetable fillings, then work with fresh dumpling dough to create Japanese Pot sticker dumplings and a sesame-scallion dipping sauce. Add a steamer basket for an additional $7pp
CUPCAKE DECORATION (45 minutes / 1 hour) Quick, colourful and competitive. Kit includes your choice of 6 premade cupcakes (30 minute class) or the ingredients to bake your own (1 hour class), icing, toppings and colouring. A great activity for those with kids at home, with our chef judging the winners! Includes piping bags and nozzles, for a truly professional finish.

NIGHT IN IN NORTHERN ITALY (1 hour) Master timings and learn to work with cornmeal. Lemon roasted chicken breast, creamy parmigiana polenta, brocoli rabe. Includes potted rosemary plant.
JAPANESE IZAKAYA (1 Hour) A variety of skills – crumbing, balancing flavours and making your own pickles! Create a traditional pork katsu curry, steamed rice and assorted pickles. Includes 2 375ml glass jars for pickling at home.
MOROCCAN SOUK (1 Hour) Create a spice blend to suit your tastes and transport your guests to Northern Africa. Build the perfect chicken tagine at home, chermoula sauce and steamed couscous. Includes 4 small individual jars of spices.
MASTERING THE GRILL (1 Hour) Chef’s tips for cooking the perfect steak to order at home. Includes a Porterhouse steak, crushed potatoes, brocollini and all the ingredients to whisk your own green peppercorn hollandaise sauce. Includes 2 steak knives.
MELBOURNE BRUNCH (1 Hour) Quick and simple activities, teaching simple pan skills and sauce making. Choose from; Sweet – Blueberry and ricotta hotcakes, berries, double cream, salted caramel sauce or Savoury – Hotcakes, poached eggs, maple bacon, smashed avocado, hollandaise sauce. Includes a small bunch of flowers to dress the table.
