Showtime Event Group has been appointed by the National Trust Australia (Victoria) as exclusive caterer to the Old Melbourne Gaol. Taking over in February 2018, we are very excited to bring our on trend approach to venue catering to such a historic site. The Old Melbourne Gaol is definitely a space for those looking for a unique setting. The venue is filled with historical memorabilia, including the infamous death mask of Ned Kelly. Guests are able to explore the 96 cells across three floors. The venue can seat up to 100 guests with a sizeable dancefloor, or up to 250 guests as standing reception. The Gaol backs on to the Alumni Courtyard providing an outdoor space, and is adjacent to the Former City Watch House and Old Magistrates Court, which were in operation up until 1994.

The precinct also includes the Former City Watch house that was in operation adjacent to the Russell Street police headquarters up until the mid 90’s, and the Former Magistrates Court. Both spaces again provide that unique setting, and can be booked for receptions and ceremonies with a difference.
