Friday 9th of September recently saw the South Wharf promenade transformed for another one of our successful precinct parties. 800 guests, through four unique venues, with a veritable smorgasbord of food and drink options throughout the evening.
With doors at 7pm guests were raring to go and did not hesitate to travel down the orange carpet and delve into the wide variety of canapés on offer. With cuisine styles influenced by our international executive chef, like our Tasmanian salmon tataki with pickled vegetables and ponzu dressing and our crowd pleasing potato rosti with smashed minted peas, citrus sour cream & shiso.
Along with roving canapés for the evening, guests were treated to four interactive food stations (and one delectable dessert station). These included a salad bar, an indulgent Italian grazing station, the coal fired barbecue grill and a fresh Spanish paella station.
The evening was spread between Meat Market, Bohemian Wine Bar and The Common Man, as well as the Common Man lawn, but seeing as the night was as beautiful as it was guests preferred to be immersed in the outside atmosphere (with a few popping by Common Man intermittently to check the footy scores).
The evening progressed with the roving desserts and the interactive dessert station opening followed shortly by the doors at Showtime Events Centre for the night to really kick off with the fantastic (and huge) company band.
Guests were certainly not shy and made the most of the evening, enjoying all of the items on offer, often commenting on the presentation and the pairing of flavours. While the South Wharf precinct itself looked top-notch, utilising the great central area and marquee, tied together with draped lighting and rolled carpet. Culminating in an entirely unique and cohesive major event with Showtime.
