Completed in the mid 1800’s and located in the Melbourne CBD, opposite the State Library Victoria, the Old Melbourne Gaol is constructed in historic bluestone. The space contains it’s original cells across three levels, with high ceilings and museum features lining the walls. These cells held some of Australia’s most notorious criminals, including the infamous bush ranger Ned Kelly.
One of Australia’s most fascinating and unique spaces, the Gaol requires very little to create an event space that wows guests. The Gaol boasts a capacity for up to 120 guests for a banquet dinner running down the length of the ground floor, or 350 for a cocktail reception. Our clients have the option of an additional unique experience including Ghost Tours, Lock-ups and more. The Old Melbourne Gaol always leaves guests talking.
