Cancellation Policy
This Cancellation Policy is to be read together with Your Event Agreement, and you acknowledge and agree to abide by the terms of this Cancellation Policy. Capitalised terms are defined in Your Event Agreement unless otherwise specified here.
In the case You are considering to cancel Your Event, please review our cancellation policy outlined below:
- Notification of Cancellation: Please provide written notice of your intention to cancel the Event as soon as possible. Should you wish to cancel, please contact us on (03) 9682 1777.
- Cancellation Fee: Upon notification of the cancellation, a cancellation fee will be applicable. This fee will be equal to the monies paid and/or due per the Event Agreement with You at the time of cancellation (Cancellation Fee).
- Request for Date Change: When booking Your Event with the relevant entity of the Showtime Event Group (SEG), the Event is specific to a time period and venue (the ‘Premises’ specified in the Event Agreement). Once a booking is confirmed, this venue and period are closed off for other enquiries. A request to postpone will be treated as a cancellation in accordance with this Cancellation Policy.
- Additional liabilities: In addition, to the Cancellation Fee, You will also be liable for any pre-paid costs or liabilities, such as for pre-booked entertainment, styling and event hire, including to any third party suppliers.
- Refund Process: Following the cancellation, and the determination of the cancellation fee, we will deduct the Cancellation Fee and any additional liabilities, and refund any remaining balance to you within 30 days of the notice of cancellation.
- Contractual Obligations: Certain terms and conditions outlined in Your Agreement with SEG may apply to the cancellation process. We encourage you to review all terms carefully and reach out to us with any questions or concerns.
- Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies under Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified.
- General: Any provision of this policy that is prohibited or unenforceable in any jurisdiction is ineffective as to that jurisdiction to the extent of the prohibition or unenforceability. That does not invalidate the remaining provisions of this policy nor affect the validity or enforceability of that provision in any other jurisdiction.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out should you require any further clarification or assistance regarding our Cancellation Policy.
