Hosted by Emelia Jackson and presented by Showtime Event Group, this Mother’s Day high tea brings one of Australia’s most beloved pastry chefs to the table for an afternoon shaped by her unmistakable culinary delights.
MasterChef Australia winner, pastry chef and author Emelia Jackson brings her new book, You Had Me at Cake, to the table in a menu created especially for the occasion. Served in the grand Main Hall at Melbourne Town Hall, this special one-day high tea marks one of the first opportunities to experience her new recipes.
Expect beautifully crafted sweet and savoury pieces and the chance to experience Emelia’s baking in a setting made for settling in and savouring the afternoon. This is high tea through Emelia’s lens – delicate pastries, refined flavours and a menu designed to be shared with the people you love.
A glass of Penfold’s Champagne or cocktail on arrival opens the afternoon, followed by free-flowing tea, coffee, soft drinks and juices throughout.
Guests arrive via Melbourne Town Hall’s dramatic staircase and heritage foyers before stepping into the grandeur of Main Hall, with soaring ceilings and chandeliers.
Home to some of Melbourne’s most iconic moments, including the Beatles’ visit in ‘64, it remains a landmark backdrop for a Mother’s Day gathering with live music and thoughtfully crafted food by one of Australia’s most renowned pastry chefs.
You Had Me at Cake will also be available to purchase on the day – a beautiful gift for Mum, and perhaps the perfect excuse to arrive next time with ingredients in hand.

Cancellation and No-Shows
Tickets to Mother’s Day High Tea with Emelia Jackson are non-refundable in the case of cancellation due to change of mind (including errors when making bookings online and changes in personal circumstances), reductions in the number of guests dining or in the event of a no-show.
