A love story brought to life
Anthony had always envisioned proposing on a pristine beach – the kind framed by palm trees and waves rolling in. That dream unfolded during a family trip to Hamilton Island. “There wasn’t a more appropriate scene to assist me with asking the biggest question I’ll ever ask,” he shared. With loved ones watching from a distance, their ten-month-old niece toddled over with a nappy bag carrying the ring. “There was no better celebration than to be surrounded by the ones we love most.” It was personal, unexpected, and absolutely perfect.
Back in Melbourne, wedding planning began with one big question: how to bring together guests from two cities, Melbourne and Sydney, in a space that could capture their shared vision. From the moment they stepped into Aerial, they knew. “We simply fell in love with the venue,” Isabella shares. “It was just a bonus that the dates aligned and we knew it was meant to be!”

Planning with ease and confidence
Aerial’s location was another standout. “It wasn’t just convenient,” Isabella says, “but it also reflected the style and elegance we had envisioned for our wedding day.” The proximity to Melbourne’s top hotels made it easy for their interstate guests – a win for everyone.
But it was the experience with the planning team that truly made a difference. “To put it simply, we could haven’t asked for a better wedding producer than Ella and her team of professionals.” Isabella explains. “Simply world class in their hospitality and overall service to meet our needs.”

Inspired by romance
Isabella dove into the world of Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration. “I followed a variety of different suppliers on Instagram to see what type of style I would go for our wedding,” she says. The result was a soft, romantic colour palette – white roses, hydrangeas, baby’s breath and phalaenopsis orchids, all flickering with the warm glow of pillar candles.
Melbourne Event Florals recreated her dream “Canopy Hydrangea Cloud,” which floated above the ceremony space like a mist of petals. “When I showed them exactly what I wanted they were amazing and made sure it was set up exactly how I wanted it to be,” Isabella says.
Their florist Karen from Floral Events by Karen, who is also Isabella’s wonderful mother-in-law “created a beautiful bridal bouquet and stunning centerpieces that perfectly captured the essence of our colour palette and romantic theme.”

The personal touches
Every element of the day was considered and meaningful. Kerr Events provided the cutlery and a stunning dance floor. The cake, a three-tiered masterpiece by Sir.Sour, featured layers of red velvet, strawberry cheesecake and vanilla. The stationery – designed by Isabella herself – was detailed with gold foil, adding a sense of understated elegance.
“I designed and created my own table numbers, menu and drink menu,” Isabella shared. The welcome sign and seating chart, created by Event Signs, matched their gold-foiled invitations perfectly.
Isabella wore a breathtaking gown by Marquise Bridal, with hair by Hair by Naveen and makeup by Amanda Yousif Bridal. The bridesmaids wore sage green dresses from Bec and Bridge, and Anthony and the groomsmen were styled by Ferrari Formal Wear and Mens Suit Warehouse.
One of the most memorable moments? A surprise performance by violinist Evangeline Victoria. “Evie played the song ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’, which I originally requested beforehand… This was a special song as this was the first song that Anthony sang when we first met.”
A celebration of family
The couple’s European heritage shone through the food – from sautéed gnocchi and braised beef cheeks to a white chocolate and raspberry panna cotta that guests still talk about. “We loved all of our dishes we had chosen,” Isabella smiles. “It felt like a celebration of everything we are.”
Their favourite part of the day? Seeing both sides of their families – who hadn’t been together in five years – finally under one roof. “There was nothing more that we wanted than to see our families get together and meet each other for the first time in five years,” Isabella remembers. “It was a very special moment that we will both remember for the rest of our lives.”

Love in reflection: Advice from the happy couple
Isabella and Anthony agree on one thing: the day is about the two of you. “Be as selfish as possible for that night,” Anthony says. “There is no one else that matters other than you and your husband/wife. Don’t stress about the little things.”
Isabella adds: “Your wedding day goes so fast so embrace every moment.”
For this couple, Aerial wasn’t just a venue – it was the backdrop to a memory that will stay with them forever.
