We held our first ever Gala for The Stuttering Association For The Young Australia (SAY: AU) – a community that supports young people who stutter. Any fears we had were laid to rest straight away by the empathic, supportive, and kind engagement by the event producer Amy, who gave me (a person who stutters) as much time as I needed to speak, with no interruptions or funny looks.
