The brand new Isabella Fraser Room at the State Library Victoria officially launched last week with our wedding open day! The room was set beautifully with a classic feel and timeless ambience that created a true wow factor when stepping into the brand new event space. With industry groups coming through first followed by couples thinking about their own wedding the day was one of excitement and keen interest.
Elegant long tables (from the generous Dann Event Hire) ran the length of room, adorned with perfectly placed and carefully crafted centrepieces, courtesy of Bouquet Melbourne.
Which for the first time, brought this new space to life. Providing various guests throughout the afternoon a chance to taste and feel what potential the space has; and why Showtime was chosen as the exclusive event partner at the State Library.
Processions began with an introduction by Showtime’s General Manager, Brad Dabbs and continued with a detailed presentation by the State Library’s Head of Strategy, Alix Massina. Educating attendees on the brilliant history the library has gone through, that it is the busiest public library in Australia and one of the busiest in the world.
Also pointing toward the great improvements of the Vision 2020 redevelopment (that are currently at the half way mark with the Isabella Fraser Room opening) growing the library and its purposes for a rapidly evolving Melbourne.
With formalities over, guests were given the chance to mingle and network, with friends from various Melbourne businesses like the team at Pan Pacific, Channel 10 presenter (and celebrant!) Mike Larkin, along with wedding bloggers, performers and more. All of which were very excited about such a definitive and new wedding venue open in the Melbourne CBD.
Following the business processions couples (for one of the first times) entered the Isabella Fraser Room to see what their own weddings might look like as well as what Showtime has the ability to offer at the State Library, from decorative options, the great built in audio and visual capabilities down to the refined canapés and drinks options.
The day was a resounding success with attendees and couples alike announcing that the room, the decor and atmosphere was wonderful and that they were excited to see what else would come out of the newest event space in the heart of Melbourne.
